2026 Bay of Fundy Tidal Bore Rafting Tide Schedule

Bay of Fundy Tidal Bore Rafting Tide Schedule with The River Wranglers! Plan your trip here!

This is our tide schedule and our tour departure times for Shubie River Wranglers’ tidal bore rafting tours! We ask that all our customers plan to arrive on site no later than 1 hour before your tour’s scheduled departure time.

The coloured blocks below indicate tide levels, grey boxes are regular tides, beige boxes are high tides and red are the extreme tides! We use the tidal charts from the Bay of Fundy to determine our trip times. The bays’ tides determine the times, and therefore we cannot change them!

Regular Tide

Regular tides are within the 21-23.5 ft range. These tides are great for first time rafters and rafting enthusiasts alike.

Regular tides produce waves in similar sections of the river to High and Extreme. However, they can also lend in making wave sets in areas that aren’t as common. If you are ever unsure of which trip is best for you, call us. One of our expert staff will be happy to help you set up the best tour!

High Tide

High tides are within 23.6-24.5 ft range. These are common tides and provide great waves for first timers and experienced rafters alike.

High tides are a favourite among all rafters! These larger tides make for a more drastic difference in water level upon your return! If you are ever unsure of which trip is best for you, call us. One of our expert staff will be happy to help you set up the best tour!

Extreme Tide

Extreme tides are within the 24.6-29 ft range. This is the largest range in the tides we experience on the Shubie! Repeat rafters and genuine thrill seekers often seek extreme tides!

These tides often form the largest waves! However, these tides are still great for first time rafters as well as experience thrill seekers! If you are ever unsure of which trip is best for you, call us. One of our expert staff will be happy to help you set up the best tour!

How to Navigate the Tide Schedule for Tidal Bore Rafting

Planning your tidal bore rafting adventure on the Shubenacadie River? Our tide schedule is here to help you choose the best time for your unforgettable ride on the waves created by the Bay of Fundy tides—some of the most powerful in the world.

Each date on the schedule is color-coded based on tidal intensity, as shown in the Tidal Rating Legend:

Red = Extreme tides – the biggest, wildest waves and most thrilling rafting experiences

Orange = High tides – exciting, fast-moving waters ideal for adrenaline-seekers

Yellow = Regular tides – a gentler, family-friendly option still packed with fun

Because the Bay of Fundy tidal bore changes every day based on the natural tide table, rafting times vary. Not all tours (4HR, 2HR A, 2HR B) are offered daily. We encourage you to find a time that works for your group—but please note, the tidal bore waits for no one! Tours are set by the tide, and we can’t modify nature’s schedule.

Use this guide to pick your trip, whether you’re searching for a high tide adventure, rafting near Halifax, or an iconic Nova Scotia tidal bore rafting experience.

Book early to secure your spot—and get ready to ride the river like a true River Wrangler!
